HC directs state to consider petitioners for looking after work of Naib Tehsildars | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 3 : In a petition filed by 7 Girdawars challenging the orders of the Govt to look-after the work of Naib Tehsildar by 13 Girdawars when most of them are juniors to the petitioners and in the process of making of such arrangement, Seniority position of the petitioner is getting offended and the counsel appearing for the private respondents have made it clear that a large number of vacancies of Naib-Tehsildars are vacant and in view of that exigency, the Girdawars of the areas of have been directed to look-after the work of Naib-Tehsildar and no special status is conferred nor any promotion is granted, may be in the case of the petitioners also similar orders may follows in near future. Justice Mohd Yaqoob Mir of J&K High Court Jammu Wing after hearing Sr. Adv Sunil Sethi with Adv Veenu Gupta for the petitioners whereas Sr. Adv MK Bhardwaj with Adv Ajay Abrol MA Bhat, SS Ahmed and Ashfaq Ahmed Khan for the private respondents and caveators, discharged the caveats and issued notice to the respondents, objection if any within the notice period, pendency of the writ petitions shall not stand in the way of the official respondents more particularly Financial Commissioner Revenue J&K in considering the cases of the petitioners for asking them to look after the work of Naib-Tehsildars on identical lines.(JNF) |
