| Kissan Mela held at Bani | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, May 4 : One day exhibition cum Kissan Mela was organized by Department of Agriculture District Kathua at Mela Ground Bani here today. The MLA Bani Master Lal Chand inaugurated the exhibition cum Kissan Mela. More than 500 farmers participated in the exhibition. About 400 samples of different crops were brought by the farmers. The prizes were distributed to the farmers whose samples were judged best by the judging Committee. Different allied Departments had also installed their stalls at the exhibition site.
Technical guidance was deliberated by the experts of the agriculture Department. Chief Agriculture Officer Kathua Vipan Sambyal discussed various departmental schemes at the exhibition. SDM Bani Rajinder Sharma spoke on the occasion. Other officers who spoke on the occasion were Sh. T.K.Atri SDAO Basohli, Sh. Devinder Sharma SMS Basohli, Sh. R.K.Kachroo AEO Lowang and Sh. Krishan Kant, AEO Fatehpur.Vote of thanks was presented by Sh. Des Raj Barua JAEO Sandroon. |
