Bovine smuggling bids foiled, two arrested | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, May 5: Ramban Police foiled two bovine smuggling bids and arrested two bovine smugglers besides rescue of 19 bovine animals during checking at nakas laid on National Highway at Chanderkote and Ramban respectively here today, police said. According to police, following a tip off about transportation of bovine animals towards Kashmir Valley, SHO Police Station Chanderkote, Inspector Rakesh Kumar Gupta alongwith his team laid a naka at Chanderkote on National Highway. "During checking, naka party intercepted one Tata Mobile bearing Registration Number JK02AA/4252 carrying 4 bovine animals from Jammu to Kashmir Valley, police said and added driver of the vehicle identified as Ishtyaq Ali s/o Irshaid Ali r/o Dhalwas Tehsil & District Ramban was arrested on spot. A case against FIR No. 21/2012 u/s 188 RPC, 3 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Chanderkote. In another similar incident SHO Ramban, Inspector Ravinder Singh Parihar also seized one truck bearing registration No 5196/JK02W carrying 15 bovine animals from Jammu to Kashmir near Shan Palace NHW-1A Ramban and arrested driver of the truck namely Mirza Khan son of Abdul Gani Gujjar of Talwara Reasi. In this connection a Case FIR No. 68/2012 u/s 188 RPC, 3 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Ramban. |
