Kranti Dal demands identification mark on BPL families' house | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 5: Kranti Dal has demanded to put identification mark on the houses of Below Poverty Line (BPL) families in order to check the discrepancies in recognising the genuine BPL people. Led by its state general secretary Pritam Sharma accompanied by Youth Working President Jagdish Sudan and Freedom Fighter President Ved Gandotra today met BPL families and interacted with them to know about their problems. Kranti Dal took a serious note over the irregularities of identification of Below Poverty Line (BPL) families. They found that most of the BPL families living without BPL card and their ration going to the other families who are not under BPL but due to high approach they get BPL card. Kranti Dal leaders said that rate list and the amount of ration are not displayed by any Depot owner. They alleged that Depot owner sell ration at high rate to BPL families and these helpless families face inconvenience in their life due to negligence of officers. Pritam Sharma blamed the concerned authority for not identifying the BPL families. Sharma said that there should be identification mark on the house of BPL families so that BPL card will not go in the hand of rich or employees families. According to reliable information, 50% BPL families living without card their card issued to the wrong persons. There is urgent need to install BPL flax on BPL card holder families' houses so that the identification of BPL family makes easy and if any other family get this card that should be punish with concerning officer.
