JAKFED employees warn to suspend supply | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu May 5: The ongoing strike of JAKFED employees demanding benefits of 6th Pay Commission and SRO 43 today entered into 6th consecutive day. The protesting employees suspend their warning about snapping of supply of LPG /Fertilizer/ other allied materials for two days only. Speakers addressing the protestors regretted that it is a matter of concern that despite self generating Institution the management is not bothering to concede their demands/listen to employees grievances. "It has been unanimously resolved by the employees to stop the essential services i.e. supply of LPG /Fertilizer/ other allied key material to the general public/farming community and Govt Departments, the protestors said. The strike of the employees has also been supported by INTUC by visiting of their Vice President Jugal Sharma while Rajesh Sharma, Chairman J&K Cooperative Union also visited JAKFED premises to express solidarity with the protesting employees Chairman Cooperative Union after hearing the demands of employees, requested the employees not to stop the supplies of fertilizer which will adversely effect the sowing season. On the appeal of Chairman Cooperative Union the stoppage of essential services has been deferred for two days. During his visit he however assured that some time should be given to him so that he may be able to apprise grievances of JAKFED employees to the Chairman of JAKFED on his return from New Delhi the out comes will be conveyed to striking employees on the same day.
