Govt appoints 8 candidates under ReT scheme

Udhampur, May 5 : Jammu and Kashmir Government has appointed eight candidates as teachers under the Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) scheme in this district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Eight candidates hailing from Udhampur, Jib and Tikri zones of this district were employed under ReT scheme and their engagement orders were handed over by MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia today, officials said.
Stating that teachers are pillars of the nation, Mankotia urged them to put in their best to provide quality education to the students, especially poor children from rural and far-flung areas.
He said under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), efforts were being made to increase the literacy rate by appointing local educated youths as ReTs to improve the education sector.
