Pathania terms Panthers as B-team of PDP | | | Early Times Report RAMNAGAR, May 5: Senior vice president, Pradesh Youth Congress, R S Pathania has lambasted Panthers Party for bartering away the mandate given to them by the people of Jammu. While addressing a press conference after attending a gathering of people at Ramnagar, Pathania said that going by the Panthers leaders behaviour and conduct within as well as outside Assembly; they have acted more or less B-team of PDP. Their demands of stoppage of 'Durbar move' release of all secessionist leaders and prisoners, reorganization of state and voting for PDP candidates in all previous elections to Rajya Sabha as well as Legislative Council have exposed themselves before the people of Jammu. Pathania said that floor-crossing in lieu of monetary considerations has debased the lofty standards of ethics and parliamentary propriety and the very dignity and decorum of the august House has been alienated. While making a fervent appeal to the Speaker of Legislative Assembly as well as Governor of the state, Pathania demanded a CBI inquiry into the infamous 'cash-for-vote' scandal. He further said that the controversial stances of PDP regarding Dogra Certificates, 'Amarnath land and demands like self-rule, dual control, double currency etc. also cannot be overlooked too easily. And that the people of Jammu have not voted the MLAs of Panthers Party just for'bartering' their mandate with the pan-Kashmiri and pro-secessionist outfits and take them and their political aspirations and interests for granted. Virender Singh, general secretary, Block Congress, Ramnagar charged that MLA Ramnagar who always has been singing swan songs of 'discrimination with Jammu' is signatory/proponent of the controversial 'seat-freeze Bill' passed by J & K Legislative Assembly whereby delimitation has been sealed till 2026. |
