2 teachers appointed on fake certificates resign | Fake certificate scandal | | Asif Iqbal Naik kishtwar, May 5: Within less than two weeks after Kishtwar police exposed the appointment of teachers on fake certificate in Drabshala Education Zone of Kishtwar district, two teachers namely Shah Din Keen son of Noor Din Keen and Basharat Hussain son of Noor Muhammad Keen submitted their resignation. In his resignation letter which was forward by Headmaster Govt Primary School Buddhar Patnazi to Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Drabshala vide No: 548/GPS Buddhar, Shah Din Keen teacher posted in said school cited domestic reasons for resignation from the Government job. Another teacher Basharat Hussain vide No: 151/GPSMM cited health reason for resignation from teacher job. When contacted Dy. SP HQ Kishtwar Abrar Chowdhary said that police has constituted a special team headed by two Sub Inspector rank officers to scrutinize the genuineness of the certificates submitted by the appointees at the time of recruitment as teachers in 2001, 2003 and 2005 (ReT). He added that some cases of 2007 and 2009 appointments are also under the police scanner. Mr. Chowdhary said that the police team has been deputed to Jammu to seek the help from Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education (JKBOSE) to verify the authenticity of the documents submitted by the appointees at the time of the appointment in Education Department. Replying a question, Chowdhary said that he is not in a position to comment on resignation development but said that resignation from these teachers doesn't mean that the culprits will escape punishment under law. "Law takes its own course and guilty will be punished as applicable under law." He said that police is already on job and assured that all the culprits involved in the scandal will be soon behind the bars once the JKBOSE gives its final view point on the genuineness of the submitted documents. Meanwhile, the influence of the accused could be judged from the fact that despite clear directions from Chief Minister in 2007, the then Director School Education blocked the action taken report sent by Deputy Commissioner Doda. In a public complaint seeking action against the accused fake appointee, the then Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad vide his letter No: HCM/PS/2007/178-79 Dated 11-06-2007 directed Deputy Commissioner Doda to inquire the matter and subsequently after seeking report from Chief Education Officer Doda, the fact finding report was submitted to the then Director School Education for taking action against the culprits, but the accused teachers manage to block the report of Deputy Commissioner Doda initiated on the direction of the then Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad. It is more astonishing that even after 10 days since the matter come to fore, Director School Education Jammu even did not bother to initiate action against the culprits which is stuck in the files of Director School Education since last 5 years. Director School Education even not makes any effort to recover the salary of Rs. 52 lacs withdrawn by the fake document appointees. It is worth mentioning that Kishtwar police last Friday claims to have unearthed a fake certificate scandal in Drabshala Zone of Kishtwar District by detecting appointment of 15 teachers in Government department in which the appointees has submitted fake documents at the time of their appointment as ReT in Education Department. On the basis of its investigation, Kishtwar police registered a case FIR No. 98 under Sections 420/466/467/468 and 471 RPC against kingpin Akthar Hussain Keen son of Muhammad Sharief Keen and others including Basharat Hussain son of Noor Muhammad Keen, Shah Din Keen son of Noor Din Keen, Abdul Kabir son of Muhammad Abdullah Keen, Ismail Gujjar son of Kasum Dhenda, Waheeda Bano daughter of Abdul Lateef, Pervaza Banoo daughter of Ghulam Rasool, Mobina Ara daughter of Nazir Ahmed, Noor Muhammad son of Abdullah Gujjar and Muhammad Aslam son of Noor Din all residents of Bhunzwah Kishtwar. The accused procured the documents displaying marks of their own choice and submitted these fake and forged documents as genuine at the time of recruitment as ReT teachers in Drabshalla zone. |
