Coalition Governments prove disastrous for people: ANC | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 6: Coalition Governments have proved disastrous for the people of Jammu & Kashmir, resulting in chaotic functioning of the state apparatus with no future prospects for six lakh unemployed youth, external and Internal debt of Rs 35,000 crore, no policy for utilization of natural resources, corruption having eaten into the basics of our system and no solid plan for a peaceful solution of the Kashmir problem. This was stated by senior Vice President Awami National Conference (ANC) Muzzafar Shah, while addressing one day convention of ANC district Jammu workers (Rural and Urban) at Aggarwal Sabha here today. Shah said that the people of all the three regions of J&K are looking forward to a dynamic, efficient, honest political alternative which could pull the state out of the present chaos of political and administrative failure. Outlining the programme and policies of ANC, Shah stated that under Khalida Shah's matured, experienced and upright leadership , the J&K Awami National Conference would follow the guidelines laid down by the ANC founder president and former Chief Minister G M Shah for providing the state with an effective, transparent and accountable administration. Shah stresses the need to strengthen the party apparatus throughout the 22 districts of the state at block tehsil levels and impressed upon the gathering to prepare ground for ANC to give the people of J&K, a honest, efficient and dynamic leadership they are yearning for by showing the door to the corrupt and power brokers. On the occasion, a large number of political activists belonging to BJP, Congress and NC joined ANC at this function today in presence of a large contingent of the media. |
