'Maha Yagya' to be solemnised for welfare of people | | | early times report Jammu, May 6 : A 'Maha Yagya' would be performed at the famous ancient shrine of Goddess Zeastha Devi in Srinagar on May 9 for the welfare of people of Jammu and Kashmir. Over 2 lakh Kashmiri Pandits visit the shrine annually, which is located in the thick woods of Shanker acharya mountain range and overlooks the famous Dal lake. "Ancient shrine of Mata Zeastha Devi will have Maha Yagya for the welfare of the people of Jammu and Kashmir on May 9," Zeashta Devi Prabhandhak Committee President B B Bhat said. The Yagya will start on May 9 with 'Pushpa Archana' and 'Puran Ahuti' will be offered on May 10 followed by 'Prashad Vitaran', Bhat said. |
