| BSP laments denial of reservation to OBCs | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 6: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) J&K unit organised a one day "Other Backward Classes" conference at Vishwakarma Hall, Gurah Morh, Bakshi Nagar here today. The function was presided over by R L Chargotra state vice president, Narinder Kashyap, Member Rajya Sabha (M.P) and Parkash Bharti State Co-ordinator were the Chief Guests and T.D. Langeh state President was the guest of honour.
The function was convened by Ayodhya Kumar Manawa gen. secy, Dr. Harjeet and Mohinder Kashyap state secretaries.
The people belonging to other backward classes turned out in large numbers. The speakers said that the J&K Government is denying the rights of reservation to deserving OBCs in the state. They said govt has played a cruel joke with the state OBCs which comprises 45% of the total state population by providing only 2% reservation instead of 27% in the state govt services. BSP has taken a very serious note and will not tolerate so much of injustice meted out to OBCs. BSP will soon taking voice of OBCs to each and every nook and comer of the state, the speakers said. |
