Jammu, May 6: In two days, two spokespersons of the National Conference have issued two statements on a single issue. Normally, the development would not evoke a response. But given the internal bickering in the party, the political circles have raised their brows.
Tanvir Sadiq, in his capacity as spokesman of the National Conference issued a statement congratulating the civil service qualifiers from the state. He had issued the statement on behalf of the party, Chief Minister and other senior leaders.
But today, another spokesman, Sajjad Kichloo also issued a statement a similar statement. "It was a moment of pride for the entire state that ten youth have qualified the highest examination in the country", he said.
Political circles believe there was no need for issuing a second statement on the issue. Two statements in two days on a single issue reflect lack of coordination in the party.
NC has seen the results of having two additional general secretaries. As they say too many cooks spoil the broth, the party has to either opt for a single spokesperson or ensure proper and effective coordination between the two, suggest political experts.
According to them, the party is passing through difficult times. "Its popularity has registered a decline even in the Valley. In such a situation, the party cannot afford the luxury of having two spokespersons especially when they lack coordination", they said. |
