| Give quality education, create awareness among social evils: MLC | | | Early Times Report
Nowshera, May 7: Member Legislative Council Ravinder Sharma-General Secretary and Spokesperson PCC has impressed upon the educational institution to impart quality and value based education to the children including the need to fight against corruption in the society.
Addressing a gathering of students, parents and staff of Christ School Lamberi-Nowshera today, Sharma said that childhood is best time to shape the emotions and feelings of the students and they should be taught about their rights and duties to the nation.
"The social evils of corruption, dowry and female foeticide should be removed from the society, as these are curses for the present day India which is becoming a great economic power in the World, he said.
The people around globe know India, as a nation of great Mahatma Gandhi who gave the message of harmony and brotherhood through tolerance and mutual respect of each others sentiments and faith. But corruption is growing challenge before the nation and we have to win this battle also otherwise there would be threat our existence. Sharma was chief guest on the occasion of annual day function of this school, while SDM Nowshera Rajinder Khajuria was the guest of honor.
ASP Nowshera P L Sharma, SDPO Nowshera Pardeep Singh, Principal, Staff and Management besides large number of prominent citizens attended the function.
The Children of the school presented a variety of cultural programmes. Later prizes were given by the Chief Guest to the best performers in the field of education and ex-curricular activities. |
