Thannamandi, May 7: The devotees heading to the ancient and historic sacred Shrine of Baba Ghulam Shah Badashah in Shahdara Sharief on Rajouri -Thannamandi - Bufliaz Road are getting awesome experience of their pilgrimage as their pilgrimage turns to an odd tale courtesy bumpy ride on the depleted condition.
According to locals the devotees and the visitors thronging to this revered place perhaps never want to visit the area probably using this road section again keeping in view the worst condition of the above said road. Locals including Mohd Akram said that the road was upgraded but using sub standard material which resulted into the worst condition of the road. Muslim Welfare Forum, Mughal Road Joint Action Committee under the banner of J&K Confederation for Civil Liberties in a press conference at Thannamandi criticized the functionaries including border road organization for not paying a heeding ear to the long pending genuine demand of the public of the area regarding the double laning of Rajouri-Thannamandi-Bufliaz road. Speakers said every time the representations were doled out hollow promises that yet had not fulfilled.
Rashid Shawl president Muslim Welfare Forum, Dr M S Shad Convener, J&K Confederation for Civil liberties and Sadeeq Ghanie Vice Chairman Mughal Road Joint Action Committee also spoke on various issues. |
