Hindu organizations rue encroachment, threaten agitation | | | early times report Jammu , May 7: Hindu organizations of the state have expressed great concern about the illegal and forceful occupation by some people of majority community of the Hindu religious places and temples. VHP general secretary Dr. Sham Lal Gupta Stated that a memorandum from VHP has already been submitted to Divisional Commissioner and IG Police Jammu in which it has been clearly stated that no one should be allowed to occupy Hindu religious places illegally and unconstitutionally. Concern was also expressed against the biased manner in which Salim Alam Administrator Auqaf is working for a particular community. The representatives of the Hindu organizations alleged that revenue records have been manipulated to illegally usurp the land belonging to Baba Pragnath Dharam Sthan which was denoted by Maharaja Sukh Ram Dev Ji, more than 500 years back. The land comprising 293 kanals and 19 marlas and even the samadh of Baba Pragnath Ji, is shown as burial ground including well and mango garden. Sate unit of VHP and other Hindu organisations Shri Ram Sena, Kranti Dal, Shiv Sena, Bajrang Dal have warned the Govt and administration not to work against the interest of Hindus failing which Govt will be fully responsible for any untoward incidents. |
