| 2 teachers on 174 students in Doda School | | |

Doda, May 7: Notwithstanding the tall claims of the state government with regards to school education in the state, only two teachers have been posted in a remote Kastigarh Government School in Doda district.
An 8th class student of the School Naida Banoo said that of the Six Subjects, only three are taught by the two teachers posted there, while the remaining three are never taught. The apathy of ther government has irked the locals who have been discouraged to send their children to the school.
Mubeen Sheikh, Sarpanch halqa Gurmul said "We have approached to the Deputy Commissioner (DDC) and Chief Education Officer (CEO) of Doda many times but to no avail. We always returned home empty handed".
Meanwhile Deputy Commissioner Doda Farooq Ahmed Khan said that He has directed to the Chief Education Officer Y.R Thusoo to depute staff in Govt. (Girls) Middle School Gurmul (Kastigarh) as early as possible. |
