JKNPP advocates stoppage of Darbar Move | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 8: Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) has supported Chief Minister Omar Abdu llah's statement advocating stoppage of annual Darbar Move. Addressing a meeting of JKNPP held at W No 64 in Roop Nagar area, Mankotia appreciated the statement of Omar Abdullah in which he called to do away with the Darbar Move system in the State. Mankotia said that its Panthers Party which is fighting for this cause on the streets, Assembly, as well as in the court, he said that panthers party has mooted this idea first time so that the people of both the regions should not suffer due to this Darbar Move System which was started in 1872 by Maharaja, he further said that due to this Darbar move around three hundred crores is extra burden on State exchequer which is not in the interest of common man as well as State. The meeting was attended by around three hundred workers from different parts of the wards, all the workers has unanimously agreed to form award committee. Balwant Singh Mankotia State President and MLA announced the ward No 64, Roop Nagar Jammu. Pannu Ram Bhagat has been announced ward president Satish Kumar Raina as Sr. Vice President, Vivek Singh Bandral and Chander Bushan Sharma as Vice- President, Romesh Kumar Bhagat as General Secretary, Romesh Kumar Bhagat and Pritam Chand as Secretaries, Rakesh Padhir and Mintoo Nagrotra as Joint Secretary where as organizing Raki Gandhi and Rajinder Kumar as Organizing Secretaries. He further demanded for the constitution of Delimitation Commission in the state so that the assembly seats of Jammu region should be increased as per Area, Voters and geographical terrain. |
