| Tehsil status for Ramsoo sought | | | Jammu
Sartaj Ahmed Wani, Senior Youth wing leader, People Democratic Front (PDF) has urged upon the chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad to announce tehsil status for Ramsoo.
In a statement here, Wani said that the people in Ramsoo are facing lot of problems as the area comprising Neel, Pogal Pakistan and Khari is mountainous and in-accessible and it takes hours to reach the tehsil headquarter at Banihal. He further said that the people have to tread dozen of miles to reach road side and some times minor works such as ration card or character certificate consume thousand of rupees and time to reach the present tehsil headquarter. He demanded adequate infrastructure and teaching staff for Government Higher Secondary School’s Ukheral, Neel and Banihal so that the students can complete their syllabus before the closing of session. He further demanded installation of mobile towers at Neel, Khari, Mahumangat, Pogal Paristan and Sumber for providing telecommunication facilities to the people of these areas.
Wani further demanded adequate infrastructure for primary health centre Ukheral and Khari besides posting of doctors and other paramedical staff for providing better healthcare to the people.
