| MGNREGA card holders workless : Cong | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 8: Vice President Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) Hari Singh said today that there was a general complaint that most of the MGNREGA card holders did not get work under this scheme for the last five months and there were also complaints of misappropriation of funds in this scheme. Congress leader said this while addressing a meeting of Block Congress Committee Purmandal held today at village Patti in which the problems of area were highlighted. Singh said that there is great bungling in the Blow Poverty Line (BPL) ration cards. It is reported that the actual poor people have been left in the process while the others who do not deserve, find place in the BPL level and are getting BPL ration. He demanded rechecking to ensure that not a single deserving case should be left in the process. He also demanded a Sub Primary Health Center at village Patti to provide the best basic healthcare facilities to people of the area. Prominent among those who spoke in the meeting included Onkar Singh, Suvtanter Singh, Harbans Lal Sharma, Kuldip Raj-Panch, Mulkh Raj, Uttam Chand, Gopal Chand, Parshotam Dass, Jagdish Raj and others. |
