5/8/2012 11:57:38 PM
Early Times report
Jammu, May 8 : A Public Interest Litigation filed by SOS International a NGO seeking registration of a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act against the 11 BJP MLA had allegedly in lieu of cash and other considerations voted for the ruling alliance or for PDP mentioned in the Statements issued in Print/Electronic Media, Division Bench of J&K High Court Jammu Wing comprising Justice JP Singh and Justice Muzaffar Hussain Attar dismissed the Public Interest Litigation with the observation that petitioner's counsel had sought time to justify the maintainability of PIL on June 6, 2011. It was heard thereafter on June 8, 2011. The counsel again sought time to support his submissions. There after he opted not appear in the case. Today also, no one appears for the petitioners. It appears that the petitioners have lost interest in the prosecution of the petition and such the PIL is dismissed. (JNF)
