JAKFED employees to go on hunger strike from May 11 | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 8: JAKFED employees continued their ongoing strike in support of the implementation of 6th Pay Commission and SRO-43 on the 9th consecutive day here today and protestors threatened to go on hunger strike from May 11,if their demands were not conceded to. The protesting employees alleged that JAKFED Board is deliberately ignoring the demands of employees which is discriminatory' and arbitrarily on its part. After their protest various JAKFED union leaders, in association with Indian Trade Union Congress (INTUC) represented under the leadership of Jugal Kishore Sharma, Vice President INTUC J&K State took out a protest rally. Raising slogans in favour of their demands like i.e. implementation of 6th Pay Commission and SRO 43, the JAKFED Head Office, the protestors unanimously decided if the demands of the employees are not meet within two days the employees will go on hunger strike from May 11. In the end the employees also thanked to the civil administration -Police authorities and media for giving their full cooperation in these days of protest |
