Bhim ridicules Omar's statement on Darbar Move | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 9: National Panthers Party (NPP) chief, Professor Bhim Singh has criticized Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for admitting that the Darbar Move is an evil and at the same time deciding to stick to it. Singh has said, "The third generation Chief Minister of Abdullah dynasty would not accept Panthers Party's move to stop six monthly Darbar Move from Srinagar to Jammu and vice versa though he admits it is an evil created by Dogra Maharaja. This is an irony that Omar Abdullah is behaving as Prince of Wales and appears more authoritarian than his grandfather". The NPP chief made clear that the Darbar Move was the only way he and his National Conference can establish their colony in Jammu Pradesh. "His grandfather and father and he himself got a chance to govern only with the help of Congress MLAs of Jammu", Bhim said. What makes the Chief Minister to stick to Darbar Move which Dogra Maharaja started in 1872 when he finds it as evil? "What justification the Chief Minister and the Congress MLAs have to offer for throwing Rs. 300 crores (Move expenses) into the dustbin every year?", he questioned. "It shows the Chief Minister has lost confidence of the people. He would either resign or the people of the State would throw him out", he said. The professor hoped that the Congress legislators shall withdraw their support to the `corrupt, unconstitutional and criminal Government' headed by Omar Abdullah in their own interest or face the consequences. |
