Himachal girl brought dead in Kishtwar hospital with bullet injury | | | early times report Kishtwar, May 9: A 23 year old Himachal Pradesh girl identified as Sapna Devi daughter of Ram Singh resident of Village Kallar Tehsil and Sub Division Pangi of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh was on Tuesday night brought dead to District Hospital Kishtwar with bullet injury on her face. After receiving the bullet on her face, the doctors of Kallar hospital in Pangi referred her to District Hospital Kishtwar where the doctors declared her as brought dead. She was reportedly grazing the cattle's at the time when bullet hit her face. As soon as the doctors declared Sapna dead, the medical superintendent District Hospital Kishtwar Dr. Ghulam Muhammad Naqib brought the matter into the notice of Kishtwar police. When Contacted SHO Police Station Pangi Nasseb Chand Thakur informed that the accused who was allegedly involved in shooting the girl was identified as Sumit Sharma of Uttar Pradesh. He said that after registration of an FIR, the police at around 2.30 AM today manage to arrest the accused along with the weapon of the offence. He said that Sumit Sharma is working in private company in Uttar Pradesh and was in love with the deceased Sapna. He said that after he reached the home town of the deceased few days ago, the accused proposed deceased Sapna which she turned down. He said that in a state of Anger, the accuse Sumit Sharma opened fire on her with local made pistol and fled away. He said that the accused as well as the weapon of the offence is presently under police custody. It is worthwhile to mention that Pangi Sub Division of Himachal Pradesh mostly remained cut off from rest of the state throughout the winter and half of the summer due to presence of heavy snow at Sach pass situated at the height of 13500 Ft. The only road link which connects Pangi Sub Division of HP is via Kishtwar through Kishtwar-Padder-Pangi road and most of the people from Pangi travel through Kishtwar, beside most of the critical patients are referred to District Hospital Kishtwar round the year.
