JP Public School celebrate Annual Day

Minister for Health and Medical Education Mr. Mangat Ram Sharma has said that real tributes to the freedom fighters and national leaders who altered their life for the sake of the country is to safeguard and maintain the unity, integrity and solidarity of the country.
Minister was addressing at a function organized in connection with celebration of 58th Republic Day and the Annual Day of Joyti Parihar Public High School Rajpura Mangotrian here today.
He said this day reminds us to strengthen the bonds of unity among various sections of the society and take pledge to fight against anti-nation and anti-social elements which are bent on sabotaging the secular character of the country. He said the India became the biggest secular and democratic country by adopting a secular constitution which provides the right to every citizen of India freedom of religion speech and expression and added that we must inculcate these values among the younger generation.
Referring to some of the achievements of present government Mr. Sharma said that soon after the present government took over, special attention was given for equal and balanced development of all the three regions of the state and for this purpose central government provided liberal funds to boost developmental activities in every nook and corner of the state so that people of one region or the other may not feel any kind of discrimination.
Earlier, the function began with hoisting of national flag followed by variety programme by the school children which was highly appreciated by the audience. Mr. Sharma announced Rs 5000 for the children participating in the cultural programme.
Mr. Sharma was also the chief guest at the annual day function of R. P. High School Ban Talab and witnessed the colorful cultural programme of the school children. Patriotic songs, skits, dances, depicting the traditional culture of different sections of the society were the highlights of the programme.
Former MLA Mr. Shiv Dev Singh, Corporator, Mr. Manmohan Singh, DIG and Additional DIG CRPF, prominent citizens, parents and a large number of school children attended the functions.
