PDP migrant wing lashes out at Government | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 11 : In a meeting held at Bantalab Jammu, Ashok Bhat president of PDP Migrant Wing urged the NC-Coalition Government to enhance the cash relief money from Rs. 5000/- per month to Rs.15000/- per family . The Govt should immediately enhance the monthly relief to KPs who were forced to leave their homes in Kashmir Valley and are living in miserable conditions indifferent parts of Jammu. Ashok Bhat said that the KPs who are totally dependent on the Government relief have been the worst sufferers. Bhat further said that Rs 41.66 being paid as relief per member in a family is a cruel joke as this meagre amount cannot buy even a one time meal for a person, leaving aside other daily needs. Bhat also asked that in a Jagti township the people are facing complete power shutdown during night hours for the past some time ,besides the power cut is also enforced for hours together during day time putting the people to many hardships. The participants in the meeting also observed 2 minutes silence in memory of the renowned singer and social worker Vijay Malla. The prominent among those who participated in the meeting Sr leader Dr RK Pardesi , Sunil Bhat, Shadi Lal Tickoo,ShLokash Zalpori, PN Bhan and others. |
