| Arrangements for Shri Amarnath ji Yatra reviewed | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, May 11 : The Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, P.K.Pole has stressed the need for close coordination between different departments for ensuring fool-proof arrangements pertaining to their respective departments for the smooth conduct of Shri Amarnath ji Yatra.
P.K.Pole was addressing a meeting of district officers of different departments at Udhampur to review the arrangements for Shri Amarnath ji Yatra here today. Senior Superintendent of Police, Ashkoor wani, Additional Deputy Comissioner, R S Jamwal, Joint Director Planning, Rakesh Jamwal, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, S.S Sambyal , Chief Medical Officer, Udhampur and officers of PDD, PWD, PHE , CA and PD, Municipality, district police and Members of Shree Amarnath Yatra Committee, Udhampur were present in the meeting. The meeting reviewed in detail the arrangements being put in place by the district administration enroute from village Tikri to Patnitop for the hassle-free Yatra.
These include drinking water and power supply at the already identified locations of stay in case of bad weather, sanitation, provision of temporarily toilet, lodging and langar facilities, medicare, traffic and security arrangements etc. |
