Army organises 2-day road safety campaign in Kishtwar | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, May 11:- Army under the ages of 9 Sector Rashtriya Rifles Kishtwar as a part of two days traffic awareness program at Kishtwar organized series of events in Kishtwar town as a part of road safety week. Students of GHSS Boys and GHSS Girls carried out a road safety March from Government Higher Secondary School Kishtwar to Helipad to spread the message of road safety among the general public. The road safety march was flagged off by Principal GHHS Boys Javed Ahmad Kichloo. The students raised slogans against overloading, rash and drunken driving. Earlier theme based competition and lecture were also organized at Helipad Kishtwar for the students which concluded today by giving away prizes to the winners with a pledge for adherence to road etiquettes. The prizes were handed over to the winners by Brigadier Hatish Kholi Commanding Officer 9 Sector RR Kishtwar in presence of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Muhammad Hussain Malik and Additional SP Kishtwar Kulbir Singh. Lecture for drivers, passengers and vehicle owners were also organized at Kishtwar to bring alertness among the participants. While addressing the eminent gathering, Brigadier Hatish Kholi said that the road safety campaign will go a long way in educating and spreading the awareness among the general public and drivers about the need to take adequate measures to prevent road accidents and to ensure safe roads and road journey for all. Kholi thanked worthy Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, ARTO Kishtwar KuldeepSingh, students and their staff members for their cooperation in successful conduction of road safe campaign in Kishtwar which is considered as highly accident prone area. |
