| Panic grips after engine derails at Bagh-e-Bahu | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, May 11: Panic gripped in Bagh-e-Bahu area, this afternoon when a train engine derailed in the said locality.
According to the police, the incident took place when Shalimar Express reached the Jammu Railway Station but its driver failed to stop the train at the decided place.
However, the train did not stop at the appropriate place since the driver did not break the train there. When he tried to stop the train, police said, the bogies collided with each other. With the collision of bogies due to sudden breaks, police said, the force was created and the engine de-railed from the track.
"The engine was hanging from the railway track. However, no untoward incident occurred," the police said, adding immediately railway authorities rushed there and pressed heavy cranes to retrive the hanging engin back to track. |
