| Offender arrested after 12 years | | |

Jammu, May 11: Ramnagar police today claimed to have arrested a criminal (dacoit) involved in criminal activities and evading his arrest for the last twelve years, police said.
"Following a specific information, a police team led by SHO Vishal Sharma, PSI Vikram Singh under the supervision of SDPO Varinder Bhat conducted raid in his hideout and arrested him, police sources said. Sources said that the accused identified as Ashok Singh s/o Amar Nath r/o Kannaha was involved in dacoity has been evading his arrest for the last 12 years i.e. since 1996. "A case under section 392, 4/27 Arms Act stands registered against him, sources said.
