Jasbir Singh Charak, President J&k Employees Association hold meeting to take stock of the situation of the long pending demands effecting the accounts cadre exclusively the removal of disparity in pay scales. Various wings of civil secretariat and other field office /autonomous bodies attended the meeting. While addressing the speakers deplored the high landed attitude of bureaucracy at the helm of affairs in Gen. Adm. Department for not including the issue regarding removal of pay disparity in pay scales in the agenda for cabinet meeting hold. Even after the approval of the Hon’ble Chief Minister about ten meeting has been held But the matter is being delayed by the Gen. Adm. Department for the best resons known to them. The other demands include unification of the post of Director, Accounts& Treasuries, grant of promotion to various classes of employees, settlement of cases under SRO 43, creation of posts in various departments, benefit under SRO 160 dated 10/05/2006, promotion of class-IV employees as cashiers /junior Assistant, enhancement of key allowance in favour of govt. cashiers, construction of treasury buildings, promotion avenues for Assistant Programmers, Data Entry Operators. The participants warned the govt. that the will start agitations if their demands were not accepted. It was unanimously decided that cadre members would proceed on mass casual leave for two days on 31st Jan. and Ist Feb. The president of the association exhorted the cadre members to participate in large strength. The Govt. should be responsible for the inconvenience to the employees, pensioners and general public.
