Bhim's call to save Air India, indicator 'J&K' a missing connection for party | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 12: In a bid to be in media limelight Prof Bhim Singh chairman, National Panthers Party and Member, National Integration Council brushing aside from the issues of Jammuites in a communication has urged Dr Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of India to intervene to save Air India from the multinational airlines. This is not the first time when Prof Bhim Singh the self proclaimed champion of Dogra's rights, has sidelined from the basic issues of Jammuites who are reeling under unscheduled power cuts and irregular water supply that too just few days of the Durbar Move but the party has missed many chances to get an edge over the rival political parties. "Be it erratic power supply or be it irregular water supply or unemployment or any other issue, the party leadership utterly had failed to raise the issue to the concerned spheres, rued Dalip Singh a Collegiate in Jammu. Another Jammuite but a veteran who keeps tab on the political changes within state, Amar Nath pin pointed the Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) leadership in a bid to make it a national level party is completely marginalizing it's state connection. While party chief is selecting representatives in others states viz panthers party UP, Delhi, Telengana etc but has closed its eyes from it parent body which gave the party leaders an 'identification.' "Prof Bhim Singh, Chairman, National Panthers Party & Member, National Integration Council who has urged Dr Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of India to intervene to save Air India from the multinational airlines conspiracy to wreck India's public sector airlines through a letter could be considered nothing but be in limelight and an evidence that party is shunning its linkage with the state i.e. the name is missing J&K, he added. These days the press statement issued from New Delhi Office seemed to have clipped the word 'J&K' as it always mention National Panthers Party (NPP) and following the foot steps of their leaders the state leadership is also posing themselves only as 'Panthers' or NPP leaders instead of quoting JKNPP the basic name of the party. In February this Prof Bhim Singh surprised many Jammuites by his offer to 'plead Pakistan Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani's case before Supreme Court of Pakistan but in a classic example of showing concern for aliens while turning a deaf ear to the woes and plights of own people i.e. Jammuites who vote for the party.' There are numerous issues pertaining to Jammuites particularly the issue of discrimination with Jammu youth in government jobs viz a viz development matters. No sane mind can understand why Bhim Singh never made the similar offer to Jammu youth who time and again faced discrimination at the hands of the authorities in the job selection process where the Kashmiris always get a preferential treatment. Be it gross discrimination and injustice meted out to the Jammuites in selection of Assistant Information Officers, shadowy recruitment in J&K Bank wherein again the Kashmiri candidates dominate their Jammu counterparts, the Prof Bhim Singh and his band has failed to take up the matter at appropriate levels instead they remained pre occupied in getting media limelight for the party chief who once demanded dissolving of Upper House (legislative Council) but forget the same in later years. |
