People raise fingers at police | Rajouri CAPD scam | | Sumit Bhargav rajouri, May 12: The police yesterday took into custody two employees of Consumer Affair and Public Distribution (CAPD) department at Rajouri. The police claimed recovery of around one crore rupees from their possession. They are being questioned. Nearly thirty-six hours have passed since the arrest was effected. However, the police investigation has raised several questions. People have started raising fingers on the credibility of the police. Reports said the CAPD employees arrested by the police along with a huge amount of money had filled a bank slip for depositing two crore rupees in official bank account of CAPD department but only 99,97500 rupees had been recovered from their possession. The police has also failed to ascertain from where the amount came from. Insiders believe that the amount recovered is linked with some embezzlement in CAPD department which is well in the notice of the authorities. |
