| Cong, NC promoting corruption in Jammu and Kashmir :BJP | | | Jammu, May 13: BJP today accused Congress and NC of promoting corruption, nepotism, price rise and insecurity in Jammu and Kahsmir and rest of the country, and demanded that corrupt elements be brought to book while checking price rise and ending discrimination.
"Be it Congress or NC -- all these parties have been promoting corruption, nepotism, price rise and insecurity among the people while BJP has been continuously demanding booking of corrupt elements, checking price rise and ending regional discrimination," BJP state president Shamsher Singh Manhas said at a public meeting in Sunjawan belt of Jammu city today. Over 60 prominent Muslims from Barmeeni, Bhatindi, Narwal, Talab Tarutta and Chaata areas of Sunjawan Panchayat falling under Gandhi Nagar Assembly Constituency joined BJP in a massive function held at Sunjawan today under the leadership of Mohd Yousuf and Mohd Farmaan. Welcoming the new entrants into the party fold by garlanding them, Manhas said this is positive development for the BJP in the region. The BJP leader said this victory was a result of the pro-people policies and principles of the party, He said for BJP, Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and Christians, all are equal and the party does not divide people for vote bank politics.
BJP MLA and former State President Ashok Khajuria said a wrong impression had been created by some vested interests that BJP is a party of Hindus, which is totally misleading and beyond realities. |
