| Shanti Path Trust conducts free medical check-up camp | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, May 13: Shanti Path Trust (SPT) Trikuta Nagar, Jammu in association with Govt Medical Collegeand Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu, Indira Gandhi Govt Dental College (IGGDC) Jammu, Acharya Shri Chandra College of Medical Sciences and Hospital (ASCOMS) Sidhra and Sri Narsingh Goshala, Mandli conducted free medical camp at Mandli in Tehsil Bilawar of the district.
The camp had the services of seven specialist disciplines to help the poor and needy people of this remote area. The camp was attended by 673 patients, some of them tracked long distances to take advantage of this camp.
The team of specialists doctors and staff consisted of Ashok K Sharma and Pawan Khajuria (Eye) from GMC & H, Rakesh Raina (Dental) and Ajit Kumar (Hygenist) from IGGDC, Navneet Gupta (ENT), Nazim Mughal (Ortho), Narita Jamwal and Shivani Gupta (Gynae), Abhnav Gupta and Vishal Gupta (Medicines) all from ASCOMS and D P Sharma former Programmer Officer of J&K AIDS Control Society. Dental team carried out few extractions and scaling, which are rare in such camps.
Out of ninety seven eye patients screened at the camp twenty one cases of cataract were identified by Dr Ashok K Sharma for operations and he shall be conducting them at GMC&H under the guidance of Dr Sudhir K Bhagotra Prof and HOD Ophthalmology. Free medicines were provided to all the patients and this part was managed by Vinay Mah-ajan, Ravi Kant and Rahul. |
