jammu, May 13: As many as 44 MBA students of Model Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) have got placements in reputed corporate houses. A total of nine companies visited MIET campus for placements in the last four months including Axis Bank, ICS Technology, Noida, Rich Infra Ltd. Chandigarh, ASS Technology, Hyderabad, Tech Brivo Ltd., Noida, JSon Ltd., Noida, NIIT, KIPS Ltd, Delhi and Dibon Group, and Chandigarh. The maximum package of Rs. 3.2 Lakhs per annum was offered by AAS Technologies, Hyderabad.
A total of 16 students were placed at a package of 3 Lakhs per annum and above, while the average package was 2.48 lakhs per annum. Further, 10 students are awaiting the final interview having cleared the initial rounds of interviews.
Brig P N Sharma, Head, Department of Management Studies and Rashmil Mishra, Placement Officer, MIET expect the department to cross the magic figure of 90% placements this season and are confident of achieving 100% placements in the next season. Several companies have expressed interest in visiting MIET in the near future and the institute hopes to develop new linkages in the months ahead.
