| Amar singh Club celebrates mother's day | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
jammu, May 13: Amar Singh Club , Jammu today held a function for families of members and their guests today to celebrate Mother's Day which falls on 13th May across the world." Mommy and Me " an organisation which does a lot of work towards parenting especially motherhood and other social causes were the co-hosts to the event . The function comprised of presentations on many important issues like protecting the girl child, all round development of small children,how to be a complete mother etc.
The evening was full of interactive games for children and their mothers , with attractive prizes for winners. Many children presented dance items , Kathak performances , songs and the evening was topped by a live performance by Roving Sikhs , a local rock band comprising of doctors ,engineers and students, who thrilled the audience with western , Indians and Bollywood hits.
The highlight of the evening was a Super Mom contest from amongst the mothers in the audience, which was won by Praveen Baru.
The secretary of the club. Siddharth Sharma gave away the prizes to the winners of various competitions.
He expressed his gratitude to "Mommy and Me" and especially to.Payal Jain the Centre Head and chief organiser for this initiative and excellent planning and management of the event. |
