Pak to host two nation wrestling event | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 13: On the lines of Katra competition, the Pakistan Style Wrestling Association has decided to organize India Indo-Pak event in its three cities in first week of July. This was disclosed by president of J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma. "We in J&K have also been extended an invitation by Pakistan for participation of our top wrestlers. So, we have initiated a process to pick up some good stuff for this international event," said Sharma. He further said that such events help build confidence between the two nationals which, however, had a volatile relationship till recent past. "The relations between the two countries are improving on a fast pace and taking part in the indigenous games of these two nations on either side would certainly pave the way for an improved relationship," he mentioned. Those wrestlers who are interested in taking part in this event can contact, Shiv Kumar Sharma. "The Association is thankful to president of National Style Wrestling Association of Pakistan, Tariq Mir for the invitation," he said. |
