Dansal residents meet directors of School Education, CAPD | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 14: A delegation of residents of block Dansal in Nagrota constituency today called on Director School Education, Jammu and Director CAPD, Jammu and demanded for immediate filling up of the vacant lying posts in various government schools and release of full quota of ration to the people. The delegation led by Sarpanch, Panchayat Halqa Jandrah, Anil Sharma apprised the Director CAPD Department, Jammu Parvez Malik that the people had been faced many hardships in their day-to-day life because they were being provided with less quantity of ration, both wheat flour and rice, as against the fixed quota. "The people of block Dansal are being provided with 10 Kg wheat flour and 10 Kg rice on subsidized rates on monthly basis as against the fixed quota of 20 kg wheat flour and 15 kg rice. There is urgent need to rationalize the ration distribution quota and the quantity of wheat flour should be increased to 20 kg from next month," Sharma said. Later, the delegation also met the Director School Education, G A Qureshi and demanded for filling up of the vacant lying posts of teachers and lecturers in various government schools of the district. The delegation said that there were about 135 posts of teachers lying vacant at primary level in block Dansal, while the higher secondary schools were also facing shortage of lecturers. It also demanded that the education department should take immediate measures to raise infrastructure in government schools to improve the quality of education. Both the directors gave patient hearing to the delegation and assured that necessary measures would be taken to genuine grievances of the people. |
