| Hike in power tariff unacceptable: Yatoo | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, May 14: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) youth wing general secretary Er Nazir Yatoo today came heavily on the govt for its insensitive approach of increasing troubles to the public by threefold hike in power tariff since last three years.
Addressing youth rally after their protest in Budgam against power hike and power cuts Yatoo accused the govt for non implementation of their promises for regular supply by making slogans like 'Meter Hatao aur heater lagao' but after assuming the power NC leadership forgot to implement their own words made to public and hike has been made threefold since then, he said.
Yatoo said that this government has made announcement of creating repairing banks for transformers and will replace the old LT/HT wires including poles with new installation but all the promises became hollow and people are suffering lot with the callousness of NC government.
Yatoo said that government is deliberately adding problems to the people and forcing them to avoid usage of the power supply so that NC would be able to sell remaining power to centre for their personal comfort.
He threatened for major strike by secretariat Garoo if power hike is not revokes and supply is not made adequate to general public. |
