ASKPC alleges encroachment of migrants' property in Valley

JAMMU, May 14: A meeting of All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) was held today under the president-ship of R K Raina to discuss and deliberate upon the migrants' land encroachment by land mafias in valley, making virtual mockery of migrant property Act.
While addressing the meeting R K Raina lambasted the state Government for being hand in glove with anti-social elements, who are busy in encroaching the immovable properties of displaced Kashmiri Pandits in valley.
Quoting the instance in this behalf, he said one Mohan Rani Pandita wife of Late Mohan Lal Pandita has nearly about 60 Kanals of land situated at village Levedore Tehsil Dooru District Anantnag which has been encroached by one master Ghulam Rasool Shah son of Ab. Ahad Shah of the valley and has started illegal construction on the plot under survey No. 145.
He said that the concerned Deputy Commissioner was so many times apprised about the said encroachment but no action has been taken so far. Hira Lal Chatha, General Secretary of the organization blamed the state Government for isolating displaced community by way of the encroachment of their immovable properties.
He appealed the Chief Minister to fulfill the promises made by him with the community in various meetings.
Bharat Bhushan Gosani (Bhat) said on one hand Chief Minister is asking for return of Kashmiri Pandits to to valley and on the other hand no stone is left unturned to remove the every mark of this displaced community from the valley.
