Driver arrested, goods worth Rs 14 Lakh recovered | | | early times report JAMMU, May 14: With the arrest of a person, Narwal police today claimed to have worked out a case and recovered the stolen goods worth Rs 14 lakhs. Addressing media persons here Superintendent of Police (SP) South Rajeshwar Singh said, "We constituted a special investigating team to work out the case in which a truck driver went missing after loading goods including oil from Attar Singh Company in Narwal on May 6 for Srinagar." "Raids were conducted raids by the police teams deputed to investigate the case and finally police managed to arrest one accused driver namely Ghulam Mohammed Wani alias Billa son of Abdul Gafoor Wani of Badgam. "During his sustained interrogation the arrested disclosed that he has dumped the goods worth Rs 11 lakhs at a place in valley which were recovered," the SP South said, adding more goods, which he had sold in there worth Rs two lakhs and fifty thousand too have been recovered. |
