JAKFED employees call off strike after Govt assurance | | | early times report Jammu, May 14: The JAKFED employees, who were demanding implementation of 6th pay commission, today called off their 15-day long strike after the government assured them of early redressal of their demands. The Jammu and Kashmir Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation strike was withdrawn after JK cooperative minister Manohar Lal Sharma assured early redressal of their demands and release of 6th pay commission arrears. The minister said there is need to make strenuous efforts to make JAKFED a profitable and self-sustaining unit. He asked employees to make all out efforts to achieve targets and generate business in stipulated time period. Sharma directed JAKFED managing director Ravinder Gupta to constitute a committee which would work out for early release of 6th pay commission arrears and submit the report within one week.
