1/29/2007 11:02:33 PM
JAMMU, JANUARY 29
Paying rich tributes to Syed-e-Shohda Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions who laid their lives at the desert of Karbala about 1400 years ago on Ashoora Muharram, Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad said that this great sacrifice reminds us of righteousness and high principles of human dignity, God fearing and firm faith in Allah and His set principles.
Mr. Azad in his Ashoora message said that Karbala is live example which shall always rekindle the faith of human beings in truth and righteousness, guide them on right path and teach upholding principles of humanism without any fear. He said Hazrat Imam Hussain’s (AS) message is loud and clear for everyone to develop a character of such a high standard as would make him to bear every torture, challenge and threat to his and the lives of his companions and family but not deviate from the path of righteousness.
Chief Minister hoped that on this great day everyone would seek forgiveness from Allah for himself and also peace and tranquility for the society and the state.
