SKUAST-J students placed in Bank of India | | | early times report JAMMU, May 14: In a yet another achievement, B Sc (Hons) Agriculture students of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J), who are on the verge of completion of their degrees, have been selected as Specialist Agriculture Officer Scale-I in the Bank of India. Bank of India, which is one of the leading banks of the country, is 106 years old premier Public Sector Bank with more than 4000 branches in India and 29 offices abroad. Campus interview was conducted by Human Resource Department of Bank of India, Mumbai for the said post on May 11 at SKUAST-J, main campus, Chatha. Out of 20 short listed candidates 18 appeared for the campus interview and seven candidates have been selected who would be offered an annual package of 5.77 - 8.14 lakhs depending upon the place of posting. Before the interview, the bank officials gave a presentation of bank's profile and interacted with authorities of SKUAST-J, namely, Dr B B Gupta, Registrar, Dr J P Sharma, Dean, Faculty of Agriculture and also with the members of University Placement Cell. The interview was conducted through Placement Cell of SKUAST-J as constituted by the university under the chairmanship of Prof S E H Rizvi and his team. The interview board was chaired by A P Ghugal, General Manager, HO Bank of India, Mumbai and R C Khurana, General Manager, NBG(North) New Delhi was among other members of interview board The selected candidates will be appointed at the respective places by the Bank of India just after completion of their degree. |
