| PYS Ramnagar organizes cultural programme | | | early times report
udhampur, May 14: A Literary and cultural Programme was organised by Progressive Youth Society (Regd,) Ramnagar in Udhampur. The programme is organized in collaboration with J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages in village Dehari of Ram Nagar Block. Renowned writer Yash Paul Sharma "Nirmal", Research Assistant in J&K Cultural Academy was the Chief Guest whereas ZEPO (Retd) Thakur Dass" Simthial" presided over the programme and Sarpanch Dehari Satyarthpati Shastri attended the occasion as Guest of Honour.
President Progressive Youth Society Manoj "Nishchint" presented the welcome address and briefed the gathering about the programme. Angreju Ram & Party enthralled the audience by presenting Bhakh, Geetru and dance which were highly appreciated by all. Thereafter a Kavi Sammelan was organized in which Thakur Dass "Simthial", Duni Chand Tripathi, Joginder Dubey, Dev Raj" Mariyal," Uttam Singh "Albela", Rajinder Singh "Sagar", Manoj "Nishchint", Om Sharma, "Jindriari", & Yash Paul "Nirmal" presented their works and poems on different themes. At this occasion, "Leela Devi Memorial Award 2009-2010" was presented to Yash Paul Sharma "Nirmal" by Progressive Youth Society (Regd.) Ram Nagar, (Udhampur) Jammu. |
