BJP Leader Mamta Singh assaulted, Six booked | | | Early Time Report Jammu, May 14: Six persons were booked after they entered into brawl with BJP works including Mamta Singh, wife of Nirmal Singh BJP's national executive member, Police sources said. According to police sources, the incident took place when some BJP workers were staging dharna against the administration failing to tackle a road mishap soon after when a bus carrying passengers skidded of the road resulting into injuries to twenty two persons of which five critical were airlifted to the GMC hospital for advance treatment. BJP workers including Mamta Singh senior BJP leader after receiving information rushed to the hospital to offer financial and logistical support and the brawl took place when the injured Pawan Kumar, was referred to GMC hospital on the request of the BJP activist Mamta Singh to DC Doda. "The hooligans, who assaulted Mamta Singh and other BJP activists, were demanding all injured to be referred to the GMC Hospital. They also entered into verbal duel with Medical Superintendent," Dr Nirmal Singh husband of BJP leader Mamta Singh told over phone. Dr Singh said that he also reached on the spot and lodge complaint with the police. Meanwhile, police sources said that six persons who misbehaved with the BJP woerks were booked. |
