| Two arrested with illicit liquor in Katra | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 14: Police arrested two persons running a business of illicit liquor in the holy town, police sources said.
Police sources said that a raid was conducted on the specific information by Katra police. The raids on banned material were started after the postings of new SDPO Katra and SSP Reasi.
Sources said that, on specific information that two persons were running an illicit trade of illicit liquor in Katra town and police laid a trap and succeeded in arresting the duo.
"From their possession, police recovered 20 pouches of illicit liquor, police sources said further adding, "they have been identified as Ashok Kumar and Sohan Lal."
Meanwhile, Police also seized a bus bearing registration number JK02A/1279, hired by the Shrine Board Authorities from Pritam Travel Agency in which the said duo as traveling in. |
