| Maximum transparency adopted by SSRB: Chairman | | 11 ReT appointments on fake document, action against guilty likely: DSE | | Sumit Sharma
JAMMU, May 14: Within the ongoing allegations and counter allegations, the State Selection Recruitment Board (SSRB) recently defended itself by saying that of the 12020 different cadre posts advertisements the selection process for 9000 posts is completed while maintaining absolute transparency.
As per the official records, 12020 posts were advertised in the year 2010 and 2011 and out of which SSRB has taken interviews of 9000 candidates while process of the rest of the 3000 is in progress. When contacted to the SSRB Chairman BD Bhagat categorically said that maximum transparency were adopted while completing the absorption of a candidate in government service. He further added that SSRB provides 70% job to the youth in the year 2010 and 2011.
Referring to the cases of fake documentations submitted by some candidates for various recruitments being conducted by the SSRB, he replied that though the scrutiny is done by SSRB during the selection procedure but as a precautionary measure the SSRB in its fresh notification of teachers/other cadres issued against which selection lists are being made has mentioned that candidates having studied through IGNOU, MANU will be acceptable besides others institution recognized by the JU and state government.
If sources are to believed the scrutiny of the documents of teacher appointed recently is in progress following some fake degrees and diplomas were detected. These teachers were appointed through SSRB in the previous notification and were posted in the different schools. An official in SSRB on anonymity revealed that candidature of three candidates have been found under cloud as their documents have been traced as unrecognized/unauthorized as per criteria.
The official further said that based on the notification, interviews of some candidates who did not come upto criteria filed case in the court thereby teacher list of district Kathua and some districts of Kashmir division and list of Assistant Account have been subjudiced.
Meanwhile replying a query about the fake documents, Director School Education (DSE) G A Qureshi said that atleast 11 ReT teachers have been found produced fake documents and are being slapped with termination letter. He further said that department is minutely scrutinizing the documents of the appointee and some more cases are expected and action will be taken against guilty. |
