| Locals rue discrimination in land acquisition | | | Early Times Report
BHADERWAH,May15: Resentment is brewing among the people of the Bhaderwah town against the district administration in the widening work of the Bhaderwah Bani Basoli road from zero point .
Local people of the Chinote and Chamba road alleged that administration is only taking the land of poor and innocent people for the widening of the road and on the other hand the land and houses of the influential ones near zero point are being spared which are down side the road .
People said they are in favor of the development and widening of the road but equal area of all people should be taken for the encroachment as from the last so many days administration only demolished the shops of upside of the road near zero point while Qazi locality downside the Bhaderwah Bani road are being spared as there are only influential people, alleged local of the area and demanded from DDC Doda to personally monitor the ongoing widening work and take land of all without any party affiliation and influence if not they will file PIL in the court to seek justice. |
