| Woman killed, 11 hurt as vehicle overturns on NH | | | | KATHUA, May 15: A woman was killed and 12 others were injured after a vehicle in which they were travelling overturned on the national highway at Mirpur Chhani near here early this morning. The incident occured at about 5.30 am when the ill-fated vehicle was on its way from Pacca Kotha, Dayalachak, to a temple of goddess in Jimachal Pradesh. Police sources said after the vehicle overturned due to "overspeeding", a woman lost her life instantly, while 11 others, including seven women and two children, were injured. The dead was identified as Chaya Devi (45), wife of Karan Singh (45). The injured were admitted to the district hospital here. A case in this connection was registered at the concerned police station. Quoting the injured, sources said no senior doctor was available in the hospital for their treatment. |
